FAQ

1. How does the accident-free days display work?

The Accident-Free Days LED Display shows the number of consecutive days without a recorded workplace accident or Lost Time Injury (LTI), according to your company’s safety tracking criteria. It helps promote safety awareness, encourage employee accountability and keep workplace safety performance visible. The counter can be configured with a real-time clock (RTC) or controller to support automatic day counting.

2. Can the counter reset automatically?

Yes. The counter can be configured with manual, remote or automatic reset options, depending on the selected model. An authorized person can reset the counter after an incident, or the system can be integrated with a suitable controller to trigger a reset. The reset procedure should follow your company’s safety reporting policy.

3. What happens after an incident?

After an incident, the accident-free days counter can be reset to zero or the starting value specified by your company’s safety policy. The counter can then begin counting again. Where required, additional information such as LTI figures, near-miss incidents or safety training performance can be displayed alongside the counter.

4. Can it connect to our PLC or safety system?

Yes. Depending on the selected configuration, the display can integrate with compatible PLCs, safety systems or external controllers. Available communication options may include RS232, RS485, Modbus RTU and Ethernet TCP/IP. Integration depends on the existing system’s interface, data format and required functions.

5. Is the display suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Indoor and outdoor models are available. For outdoor installations, the display can be specified with a suitable weather-resistant enclosure, appropriate IP protection rating and high-brightness LEDs for visibility in daylight. The final specification should match the site’s exposure to rain, sunlight, dust and temperature variations.

6. Can the digit size be customized?

Yes. Custronics can customize digit height according to the viewing distance, installation location and required display dimensions. Options may include 100 mm, 150 mm, 200 mm and 300 mm digits, subject to the selected model and design. Larger digits can improve readability in factories, warehouses and construction sites.
